A modern conception of old Spanish design is executed in the stairway, which is of matt glazed faience tile with treads of travertine marble. The banister and its supporting rods are of cast bronze, the inside rail being continuous to the third floor. Unusual beauty is achieved in this stairway through the use of varied colors of tan and brown, blue and green, combined in a skillfully treated pattern of unique design.
